Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Venous whole blood

Collection Container/Tube: Sodium or lithium heparinized tube

Specimen Volume: 2.0 mL

Specimen Minimum Volume: 2.0 mL

Collection Instructions:

1. The patient should be at rest for at least 20 minutes prior to blood draw.

2. Specimen should be analyzed within 30 minutes of collection.
