Chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay (CMIA)
The intended use of this test is for the quantitative and qualitative determination of hCG in human serum for the early detection of pregnancy. This test should not be used to diagnose any condition unrelated to pregnancy.

Specimen Type: Serum
Collection Container/Tube:
Preferred: Gold (gel separator) or Red (plain)
Acceptable: Plasma, Green top Lithium heparin
Specimen Volume: 2.0 mL
Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.2 mL
Collection Instructions:
1. Allow serum tubes to clot completely. This may take up to 30 minutes.
2. Remove sample from cells by pipetting.
3. Indicate whether serum or plasma.

Female: <5.0 mIU/ml
No interpretation: 5.0-<25.0 mIU/ml
Positive: >25.0 mIU/ml
