Specimen Requirements
Specimen Type: Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)
Collection Container/Tube: Screw-capped plastic vial with no antigoagulant.
Specimen Volume: 2 mL
Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL
Collection Instructions:
1. If 3 tubes of spinal fluid are collected, submit first tube for microbiology, second tube for chemistry, and third tube for cell count.

WBC: 0-10 cells
