Specimen Requirements
Specimen Type: Serum or plasma
Collection Container/Tube:
Preferred: Gold (gel separator) or Red (plain)
Acceptable: Plasma, Green top (lithium heparin)
Specimen Volume: 2.0 mL
Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL
Collection Instructions:
1. Remove plasma or serum from cells within one hour.
2. Label specimen as serum or plasma respectively.
